Fulford Golf Club

setting just 1 mile from the centre
of the historic city of York,
Fulford Golf Club remains one of the
best inland golf courses in Britain.
Fulford was also the host club for the
inaugural Womens British Open Championship,
won by Jenny Lee Smith in 1976.
One of the most famous shots in golf history, when during the Benson and Hedges
in 1981, Bernhard Langer played his third shot from the ash tree by the green
on the 17th hole.

Take the A19 junction towards York City centre. Travel through Fulford and turn right at the traffic lights signposted University / Fulford Golf Club. Take the right exit from the mini roundabout signposted Fulford Golf Club. The Golf Club is 200m on the right side of Heslington Lane
